The electrical connection of the ventilation unit and the additional components
may only be done by a qualified electrician.
The ventilation unit may only be operated using the rated voltage shown
on the rating plate.
The ventilation unit is to be connected to a permanent electrical installation.
This must be equipped with an automatic circuit breaker (a mains isolation
device with contact openings of at least 3.5 mm at each pole). We
recommend the installation of a multi-pole disconnection switch with
indicator lamp. Secure all additional components to this automatic circuit
breaker as well.
Valid regulations, particularly DIN VDE 0100 with the corresponding parts,
must be observed during electrical and equipment installation.
The construction of the ventilation unit conforms to the safety-related
requirements of the VDE within the scope of the Equipment Safety Law,
as well as the pertinent conditions of the EC Directives.
Installation location: We recommend that the operator unit is in-

stalled in an occupied area of the apartment, such as the living
room, hallway or corridor. This enables a ventilation setting that
corresponds to your usage requirements.
1. Install the operator unit (see separate instructions).
2. Connect the operator unit to the ventilation unit with the 4-core connection
lead and then connect up to the power, by reference to the following wiring
diagram. The connection leads are fed out of the side of the ventilation unit
(see Chapter 2.8, Item 9).
3. Start up the ventilation unit and carry out a function test. The volume flows
can be adjusted using the DIP switches in the switchable power unit, see
Chapter 4.7.
It is important that the connection leads remain tightly in the cable

feed-in points with tension relief, so that the unit remains correctly
sealed. The cables can be fixed in the cable feed-in points by turning
them. The necessary cable screw-connections must be closed to stop
air leaking out and to stop dirt and/or damp penetrating into the unit.
Lay the control cable to the operator unit separately from the mains
supply connection. Make sure that the correct connection order is
adhered to with the control cable, as an incorrect connection will result
in the ventilation unit working with the wrong volumetric flow.
