4.2 Mounting the magnetic sensor

Alignment of the magnetic sensor
` Take care that the magnetic sensor is aligned correctly in order to
ensure optimum sensing (see
1. Fasten the Linear Encoder via two long holes on a level worktop (for
the fastening dimensions refer to the data sheet).
2. The position of the sensor regarding the magnetic ring / tape is
exactly defined. When mounting, special care shall be taken to main-
tain an air gap between tape and sensor over the whole measurement
distance whether the tape or sensor is moved or not (see
2). As a mounting aid you may use the enclosed spacing template.



