7.4) Emergency blade stop:
In any emergency situation, release the control levers to make
the blade return to the starting position.
7.5) Stop of the Log-splitter
7.5.1) Stopping the motor (electric powered models):
To stop the motor, press the red button on the switch.
Never stop the motor when it is under pressure.
H
Do not exert prolonged blade pressure on a log that will not split. Prolonged pressure will cause
the hydraulic circuit and the motor to overheat.
Modulate the pressure applied to the levers to reduce the speed and increase the motor power, or return
the log-pusher to the cycle start position, turn the log 90° and repeat the cutting cycle.
7.5.2) Stopping the machine (models powered by tractor p.t.o.):
Reduce the p.t.o. rotation speed gradually until it stops.
Avoid jerky variations in the p.t.o. rpm, as this could damage the overgear – pump unit.
7.5.3) Stopping the machine (models with hydraulic clutches):
T
Stop the hydraulic pump as described by the tractor manufacturer.
7.6) Adjusting the blade starting position:
Kg
mm
To cut short logs and quicken the work, the blade stroke can be adjusted
by moving the stroke adjustment pawl (D) using the tightening key.
295
1200x2600x760
To carry out this operation, lower the blade to the stroke end, loosen the
pawl key (D), slide the rod (E) to the required height, and then lock the
280
1200x2600x760
key back into position.
280
1200x2600x760
7.7) Adjusting the stroke block (lower/raise):
305
1200x2600x760
With work table (optional) fitted.
After fitting the table (see accesories manual), adjust the stroke
240
1200x2600x760
limit of the wedge using the lower pawl (F) to block it at about
5 cm above the level of the table; this will prevent the lowering
335
1200x2600x760
of the wedge from damaging the table.
With work table (optional) not fitted.
325
1200x2600x760
To adjust the stroke, lower the wedge until the cylinder stroke
is at its terminal point (when the pressure is prolonged, the
280
1200x2600x760
wedge does not descend any further), then raise it slightly (about
345
1200x2600x760
1 cm) and use the lower pawl (F) to block the stroke limit.
