5.4) Putting the machine into operation:
Place the machine on flat ground, keeping a free space around the machine of at least 3 metres,
so that all manoeuvres can be carried out in total safety.

Make sure that there is sufficient headroom to allow full extension of the blade holder (see TECHNICAL
DATA "H").
5.4.1) Electric powered models:
Before connecting the machine to the power supply make sure that the required voltage and power
are correct, therefore read the plate on the motor very carefully. The machine is equipped with a
thermal relay that interrupts the power if the motor overheats.
To avoid dangerous overheating, the electrical cables to the power supply must be of the
correct size (section of min. 2.5 mm/ max. length=15 m).
Make the electrical connections of the machine to a system compliant with the applicable regulations
in the country of use. Do not use rewinding extension cables. Use a portable residual current device
(PRCD) if the electrical system is not fitted with a residual current device (RCD) and maximum residual
current of 0.03 A.
Make sure that the electrical system is earthed.
Check the rotational direction of the motor.
While checking the rotational direction of the motor, rotate
the motor for as short a time as possible in order to avoid
damage to the hydraulic pump.
There is an arrow on the motor that shows the correct rotational
direction.
If the rotational direction is not correct, unplug the machine from
the supply and invert the phase using the screw on the plug itself.
This operation must be carried out only by specialist
personnel.
5.4.2) Models powered by tractor power take off
Connect the machine three-point attachment to that on the lifter.
Always use safety plugs and split pins
Lock the tractor lifter arms to avoid any wobbling.
- To guarantee steering, at least 20% of the total weight of the
tractor itself must remain on the front axis of the tractor. For
example: for a tractor weighing 3 tons, at least 600 kgs must
remain on the front axis.
- Make sure that the load capacity of the rear tractor tyres is
sufficient (see technical data in the tractor manual).
Read the tractor instruction manual carefully before
making the connection
- Adjust the lifter arms so that the machine is positioned stably on
the ground and the lower base is perfectly positioned.
- Connect the cardan shaft to the tractor power take off and the
log splitter.

6.5) Modelle mit Antrieb über einen hydraulischen Anschluss:
- Nach dem mechanischen Anschließen der Maschine an den Traktor sowie der Hydraulikanschlüsse
(siehe Abschnitt 4.4.3) die Hydraulikpumpe wie vom Hersteller des Traktors vorgeschrieben in Betrieb
nehmen und einschalten und dabei einen der beiden Bedienhebel abgesenkt halten, um den Schaft
der Spaltkeilhalterung abgesenkt zu halten.
- Auch den anderen Bedienhebel betätigen, so dass der Schaft der Spaltkeilhalterung ausfährt, und den
Zylinder anheben, bis die Bohrungen für die Befestigung denen im Rahmen entsprechen.
Während der Durchführung dieses Vorgangs die Bedienhebel leicht nach unter drücken, so dass
der Schaft der Spaltkeilhalterung langsam ausfährt.

- Einen Bedienhebel loslassen, wenn die Bohrungen ausgerichtet sind, um die Position des Zylinders
beizubehalten.

7) BENUTZUNG DER MASCHINE
7.1) Allgemeine Vorsichtsmaßnahmen:

Ne pas laisser la machine sans surveillance durant le fonctionnement.
Il est important de toujours porter des vêtements conformes à la norme EN 510 (près du corps, avec les
poignets serrés par un élastique, avec les fermetures éclair et les boutons protégés). Enlever tout vêtement
flottant qui pourrait se prendre dans la machine et porter toujours les dispositifs de protection individuels tels
que lunettes, gants, casque et chaussures de sécurité prévus par la norme en vigueur.

Im Winter die Maschine starten und ca. 5 - 10 Minuten im Leerlauf laufen lassen, so dass der Hydraulikkreislauf
sich aufwärmen kann, um eine längere Lebensdauer der hydraulischen Komponenten zu erzielen.
Stellen Sie vor Beginn jedes Arbeitszyklusses und vor allem nach einer längeren Nichtbenutzung der Maschine stets

sicher, dass die Hydraulikleitungen und die Sicherheitsvorrichtungen in einem einwandfreien Zustand sind.

Den Motor in Betrieb nehmen; der Schaft der Spaltkeilhalterung nimmt automatisch die Position der max. Öffnung
(nach oben) ein; sicherstellen, dass in Hubrichtung keinerlei Hindernisse vorhanden sind.
