Inspect the jam nut daily. Your pump has a patented Triple Life Packing System.
penetrating the oil cup through the packing nuts and/or the piston moving upwards when not spraying, the packing
nuts must be re-tensioned. This will prolong the service life of the seals.
Caution:
Only re-tension the nuts firmly enough to prevent any paint from penetrating the oil cup. Overtightening will damage
the packings and reduce their service life.
-
For an additional connection of a second, third (electric motor) or fourth (petrol engine) airless gun, the blind
plugs must be unscrewed from the device filter and double nipples screwed in (not part of the scope of the order).
Further spray hoses with guns are to be connected to this.
Step 2.
Ensure that the existing mains voltage is in the range between 220 and 240 volts 50 Hz, with 16-amp fuse protec-
tion. The socket equipped with a protective conductor contact must be located at least 8 m outside the spraying area.
Step 3.
Connect airless device with the power source. If extension cables are used, ensure that the protective conductor is
connected conductively. The single core cross section in the extension cable must be at least 2.5 mm². Do not lay
more than 40 m of extension cable. Completely unwind extension reels.
Step 4.
From the factory, new airless devices contain an oil residue in the pump section which is used for testing the device
and for corrosion protection. Before initial output of paints or other coating materials this oil residue must be rinsed
out with turpentine substitute.
-
Fill about 2 l turpentine substitute or the equivalent in a metal container. Immerse the suction pipe and return
rinsing hose in this container.
-
Open circulation valve (180° to the suction pipe) and turn on device, with lever valve (yellow handle) turned to
Pos.2 closed. Sightly increase operating pressure. Allow solvent to circulate for approx. 30 seconds.
-
Lift suction pipe out of the solvent and hold over container until pump has run empty. Then turn off device and
turn lever valve (yellow handle) to Pos. 1 / open.
-
If paints or other water-based coating materials are handled with the device, this rinsing operation must be re-
peated using water.
Step 5.
Mix the paint or coating material according to manufacturer's specifications for airless operation. Remove skin for-
mations and mix up the paint. Strain paint to remove particles likely to clog nozzles.
Step 6.
Immerse the suction pipe and return rinsing hose in this container. Leave circulation valve at suction setting.
Step 7.
Turn on device turn lever valve (yellow handle) to Pos. 2 closed, and allow to run at low pressure setting until paint
exits the circulation hose free from bubbles.
Step 8.
Press gun without nozzle firmly against a metal container. Release safety catch on catch lever and operate outlet
lever. During outlet operation, close circulation valve (by 90° to the suction pipe). Wait until all air has exited the
device and the paint flows free from bubbles. Release outlet lever and apply safety catch to catch lever. Do not re-
lease gun during buildup of pressure.
Step 9.
Look for signs of leakage. Where leakages occur, turn off device, depressurize and immediately eliminate leaks.
Step 10.
With safety catch on outlet lever, attach protective cap and spray nozzle to gun according to instructions.
Step 11.
Try out spraying on a suitable test surface. Set operating pressure up to optimum atomization of paint using the
pressure regulator at the pump.
