Vibration total values a
(triax vector sum) and uncertainty K
h
determined according to EN 60745-2-3: a
2
K=1.5 m/s
.
The vibration level given in this information sheet has been
measured in accordance with a standardised test given in
EN 60745 and may be used to compare one tool with anoth-
er. It may be used for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
The declared vibration emission level represents the main ap-
plications of the tool. However if the tool is used for different
applications, with different accessories or insertion tools or is
poorly maintained, the vibration emission may differ. This
may significantly increase the exposure level over the total
working period.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should also
take into account the times when the tool is switched off or
when it is running but not actually doing the job. This may sig-
nificantly reduce the exposure level over the total working
period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator
from the effects of vibration such as: maintain the tool and the
accessories, keep the hands warm, organisation of work pat-
terns.

 Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
Mounting application tools
 Wear protective gloves when changing application
tools/accessories. Contact with the application tool/ac-
cessory can lead to injuries.
Different application tools are available depending on the ma-
terial to be worked and the desired material removal rate on
the surface.
An overview of the right choice of application tool for an appli-
cation together with a speed recommendation can be found in
section "Selection of the Application Tool and Speed Setting",
page 27.
Note: Do not put the handpiece 1 down without an applica-
tion tool mounted on it (sanding plate, wire brush, perforator,
cup wheel, backing pad, etc.). The brush collar 12 may be-
come bent and damaged as a result.
Changing the Sanding Sheets
The surface of the sanding plate 37 is fitted with Velcro back-
ing for quick and easy fastening of sanding sheets with Velcro
adhesion.

come damaged.
 Use only carbide cup wheels with a flat
sanding surface.
– Clean the sander spindle 14 and all parts to be mounted.
– To clamp and loosen the application tool, lock the sander
spindle with the spindle lock button 3.
– To fasten the application tool, screw the mounting flange
15 onto the sander spindle 14 and then tighten the mount-
