PROBABLE CAUSE:
Potential Obstruction
Alert
1a. Possible internal
obstruction in the oxygen
path.
1b. Kinked or blocked
tubing, cannula or
humidifier.
1c. Flowmeter set at 0.5
L/min.
1a. Inspect for kinks or
blockages. Correct, clean or
replace item. Once
corrected, turn power Off for
60 seconds and then turn
power back ON.
1b. Flowrates less than 1
L/min are not recommend.
NOTE: The use of the
pediatric flowmeter will
deactivate the Potential
Obstruction Alert.
