- Never discharge NiCd and NiMH batteries below 0.8 volt per cell to protect service life of the batteries.
(For example, a 6-cell pack should not be discharged lower than 4.8 volts)
- If your charger has any error, send it back with the original box. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify
the charger in any way.
- Use a high quality power supply as power source
- Do not charge in direct sun light and extreme weather conditions
- Do not use automotive battery chargers for power source
- Make sure to check battery type settings before charging. (LiPo, LiFe, NiMH, NiCD)
4. CONNECTION TO POWER SUPPLY AND BATTERY
- Connect the input wires to a power supply or to a 12V battery (when charging at max. charge current, the
supplied input current should be 10A at minimum). Take care of the polarity.
- Connect the battery leads to the output terminal of the charger using a charge cable. Take care of the
polarity. Connect the balancer cable to charger and battery, when charging LiPo or LiFe batteries.
While powering up, the model name and software version are displayed on The LCD for 2 seconds.
Warning: Be sure the battery settings are correct before starting a charge cycle.
Press and hold the [SEL]button for 2 seconds to enter the System options settings menu. The LCD
displays as follows (see figure on the left side)
Press the [SEL] button shortly again to scroll down the display.
Select the battery type that you want to charge or discharge.
LiPo, NiCd, Pb, NiMH, LiFe. Press[INC]or[DEC] to scroll through the different battery types and press
[SEL] shortly to confirm and to go to the next option.
For NiCd or NiMH batteries only.
Delta peak voltage settings for:
• NiCd: 2mV~20mv selectable
• NiMH: 2mV~20mV selectable
Press[INC]or[DEC]to change settings and press [SEL] shortly to confirm and to go to the next option
Key Tone ON or OFF
Press[INC]or[DEC]to select and press [SEL] shortly to confirm and go to the next option.
Input power voltage setting.
This option protects your power source battery against over discharging.
Set at 11V when charging from a car battery.
Press[INC]or[DEC]to change settings and press [SEL] shortly to confirm and to go to the next option
SYSTEM TIME OUT
Sets the maximum elapsed time after which the charger stops operation.
The maximum operating time is adjustable between 1and 10 hours. (default setting is 5 hour).
SAFE TEMPERATURE
The safe pause temperature can be set between 60°C ~ 75°C
The charger has a built-in temperature sensor. If the chargers internal temperature reaches the preset
temperature it will stop charging until the temperature has dropped.
