Connecting multiple systems
3: Connected with IR
In this example, there are 7 curtain rail systems divided into 3 groups utilising the infrared
channels: one group operates on infrared channel C1, one group on C2 and one group on C3.
Each individual system also has its own infrared channel. This configuration can be programmed
entirely by following the steps described in the IR manual. Note that only 1 infrared receiver is
required to operate all rails, both individually or in groups.
In this example, the momentary 2-button switch provides the "all"-command signal, i.e. all con-
nected systems react irrespective of their infrared channel.
It can be handy to place additional infrared eyes (6040-2100) in several places in the case of
systems in front of large facades or in large rooms or halls (the range of 6040-1100 infrared
remote transmitter is ca. 15 m, depending on site conditions).
An extra infrared eye can be added at any place in the BUS. The eye must be placed in a free
port on the underside of the motor-unit. When both RJ45 ports ("1" and "2") are occupied, one
must be made available using a splitter (6032-RJ45-S3, with an RJ45 connector wired according
to type A in chapter B4):
