Dear Customer,
We thank you for your purchase of this Digital Multimeter VC-222.
With this handy measuring instrument you have acquired a product
built to the latest technological standard.
Construction conforms to VDE 0411 = EN 61010. In addition the
unit is EMC-tested and thereby meets the requirements of ap-
plicable national and European directives. Conformance to the-
se has been proven; the relevant statements and documents
are lodged with the manufacturer.
To maintain this condition and to guarantee safe operation, the
user must observe these operating instructions!

The intended uses of the measuring in-
strument are:
Measurement of DC and AC voltages up to 600 V DC AC rms max.
in Overvoltage Category I (CAT I).
No measurements may be carried out with this unit
in buildings distribution installations or three phase
(380/400 V) systems.
Measurement of DC and AC voltages up to 300 V DC AC rms max.
in Overvoltage Category II (CAT II).

Measurements in 230 V AC supply circuits are per-
mitted (e.g. domestic current supplies)!
Measurement of direct and alternating currents up to max. 10 A (for
a max. of 10 s, unfused), in 5 ranges
Resistance measurements up to 40 MOhm max
Continuity check, diode and transistor test
A measurement must not be performed under unfavourable am-
bient conditions. Unfavourable ambient conditions include:
- wetness or excessive humidity,
- dust and combustible gases, fumes or solvents,
- thunderstorms or storm conditions such as strong electrostatic
fields, etc.
Any use other than as described above can lead to damage to the
instrument; in addition this is accompanied by dangers such as
short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product must
be modified or converted! The safety instructions are to be follo-
wed without fail!
