Introduction

Dear Customer, this handy digital multimeter is a product built to
the latest technological standard. In addition to the normal func-
tions such as current, voltage and resistance measurement, with
this multimeter you can test transistors and carry out diode tests.
With this multimeter continuity tests with acoustic indication are
possible as are temperature measurements up to 1200°C max. by
means of the supplied adapter. The measurement indication can be
'frozen' by means of a "Hold" button to be found within the rotary
switch.
Construction conforms to Protection Class 1 per VDE 0411 =
EN 61010 or VDE 0551 = EN 60742. In addition the unit is EMC-
tested and thereby meets the requirements of applicable natio-
nal and European directives. Conformance to these has been
proven; the relevant statements and documents are lodged
with the manufacturer.
To maintain this condition and to guarantee safe operation, the
user must observe these operating instructions!!!

The intended use of the measuring
instrument comprises:
Measurement of DC voltages electrically isolated from AC mains up
to 600 VDC max., in 5 steps, in overvoltage category I
Measurement of AC voltages electrically isolated from AC mains up
to 600 VAC max., in 2 steps, in overvoltage category I.

No measurements may be made with this instru-
ment within building-distribution or three-phase in-
stallations (380 / 400 V ~ present)
Measurement of DC and AC voltages up to 300 V max. in overvol-
tage category II.
Measurements within 230 V ~ supply circuits are
permitted (e.g. domestic AC supply circuits)!
Measurement of DC currents up to 10 A max., in 5 steps, for 10 s
duration max. (unfused)
Measurement of resistance up to 20 MOhm max., in 5 steps
Continuity, diode and transistor tests
Temperature measurement from -40°C to +1200°C max.
Measurements must not be performed under unfavourable ambient
conditions. Unfavourable ambient conditions include:
- wetness or excessive humidity,
- dust and combustible gases, fumes or solvents,
- thunderstorms or storm conditions such as strong electrostatic
fields, etc.
Any use other than as described above can lead to damage to the
instrument; in addition this is accompanied by dangers such as
short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product must
be modified or converted! The safety instructions are to be follo-
wed without fail!
