Table 3: Faults
Problem
All LEDS are off
LED [Power] flashes quickly
(twice a second)
LED [Power] flashes slowly (once
every 2 seconds)
[Power] LED is on;
[Remote] LED is on,
[High Voltage] LED is off;
[Overload] LED is off
[Overload] LED is on
MPM_UM_9752080610_NL_D_GB_F_V1_5
Cause
No mains voltage
MPM is switched off
External 24V DC (I/O connector)
overloaded or short-circuited
The MPM is overheated because
the ambient temperature is too
high
Internal fault
MPM is in Biphase "Slave" mode
and is receiving a
synchronisation signal from the
"Master" MPM
MPM with remote control (R)
option has no control of the "High
voltage on/off" input
Overload at MPM output
Spark-over or short-circuiting in
connected equipment
The MPM is overheated because
the ambient temperature is too
high
Solution
Switch on mains voltage
Switch on MPM
Trace and rectify overloading or
short-circuiting
Reduce the ambient temperature
Switch MPM off/on
Normal operation
Supply voltage to the high voltage
ON/OFF input of the I/O connector,
(see also section 6.1, 6.2 and 8.1)
Connect fewer cables/anti-static
bars
Locate the short circuit and rectify,
see section 10.2
Reduce the ambient temperature
