7.3 Maintenance of linear motors
7.3 Wartung Linear Motoren
The stators will be shipped with an initial lubrication. Maintenance will only be required if the
motors run 'dry' or there is a heavy pollution of the motors.
Under normal industrial conditions (5 day, 8 h / day) one inspection every 3 months is
adequate.
The inspection cycle must be shortened if severe motor loads or deviating conditions exist.
These conditions are for example:
Permanent fouling
Direct sunshine
Low Humidity
Outdoor operation
Increased operating temperature
Die Statoren werden werkseitig mit einer Initialschmierung versehen. Eine Wartung ist nur
dann nötig, wenn die Motoren trocken laufen oder stark verschmutzt sind.
Unter normalen industriellen, mitteleuropäischen Bedingungen (5 Tage-Woche mit 8 Stunden
Betriebszeit pro Tag) genügt eine vierteljährliche Inspektion.
Der Inspektionszyklus muss verkürzt werden, wenn starke Motorbelastungen oder
abweichende Bedingungen vorliegen. Diese sind z.B.:
Permanente Verschmutzung
Direkte Sonneneinstrahlung
Tiefe Luftfeuchtigkeit
Betrieb im Freien
Erhöhte Betriebstemperatur

7.3.1 Montage
Sliders with a length ≤ 500 mm (20 in) are to be inserted in a clean contition in the stator.
Sliders with a length > 500 mm (20 in) must be lubricated with LU02. 4 g of lubricant per meter
slider is enough to create a film of lubricant on the surface of the sliders. 4 g (0.14 oz) is about
½ of a hazel-nut.
The grease can be applied by hand or with a soft paper towel.
If wipers are used then the inner side of the seals of the wipers must be lubricated as well.
Note: Basically, it must be ensured that only a thin film of grease is applied. 4 g of grease per
1000 mm of slider length is sufficient for this purpose. Over lubrication leads to a gumming of
the grease, which appears particularly at higher operating temperatures! In this case, a
complete cleaning of the motor has to be made.
Bei der Montage der Linearmotoren sind Läufer mit einer Länge ≤ 500 mm in gereinigtem
Zustand in den Stator einzuschieben.
Läufer mit Längen > 500 mm sind vor der Montage leicht einzufetten. Dazu wird der Läufer
entlang der Länge mit ca. 4 g Fett LU02 (4 g = ca ½ Haselnuss) pro Meter eingefettet.
Das Fett kann von Hand oder mit einem weichen Papiertuch aufgetragen werden.
Sofern Abstreifer verwendet werden, sind deren Dichtlippen bei der Montage ebenfalls leicht
mit LU02 einzufetten.
Hinweis: Grundsätzlich ist darauf zu achten, dass nur ein leichter Fettfilm auf den Läufern
vorhanden ist. 4 g Fett pro 1000 mm Läuferlänge ist hierfür ausreichend. Eine Überfettung
kann insbesondere bei höheren Betriebstemperaturen zu einer Verharzung des Fettes führen!
In diesem Fall ist eine vollständige Reinigung des Motors vorzunehmen.
