13. Troubleshooting

In purchasing the garden pump, you have acquired a product which has been designed to the state of the art and
is operationally reliable. Nevertheless, problems and faults might occur. Therefore, we would like to describe here
how to eliminate possible faults:
Take note of all the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
Problem
The garden pump does not draw
The garden pump does not run or
stops during operation

Solution
• Fill suction hose (non-return valve necessary)
• Fill the garden pump
• If necessary, open existing stop valves on the suction and pressure
side.
• Open the fitting on the pressure side to allow air to escape (e.g.
open the spray valve)
• Check the suction hose and the fittings on the suction side for
leaks; it is possible that air may be entering the pump
• Check filter on the suction side, if necessary clean
• Use appropriate suction hose (do not use a conventional garden
hose)
• With big suction lifts use a suction hose with a smaller diameter
• Check water level on the suction side
• Reduce suction lift
• control power supply
• Switch the garden pump off and on
• Pump rotor inside the garden pump is blocked by dirt
