9. Placing Out of Operation

• Switch off the garden pump (switch position "OFF", switched off). Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Open the spray valve on the pressure side. This allows the excess pressure in the system to escape.

If this is not carried out, water squirts from the garden pump when the hoses are removed!
• Remove the suction and pressure hoses slowly and carefully from the garden pump.
• If the garden pump is stored (e.g. for winter storage), then screw out the drain opening bung on the bottom of the
pump and let the remaining water flow out of the garden pump.
• Close the drain opening again. In order to prevent dust and dirt from entering the garden pump, you should shut/
cover the openings of suction and pressure side.
• In winter, store the garden pump in a dry space that is protected against frost.
• Remember to empty the hoses stored or laid outside as well to avoid frost damage!

10. Transport

Carry and transport the clear water pump using the carrying handle on the upper side only.
Never carry it using the hose or the mains cord.

A small quantity of water remains in the garden pump after use or after the emptying operation.
Therefore, when storing or transporting the pump in a vehicle, use an appropriate mat.
