11. Maintenance and Cleaning

There are no serviceable parts inside the garden pump, do not take it apart ever. Any maintenance or
repair and the involved opening of the garden pump must be carried out by an expert or a specialist
workshop only.
Before carrying out any cleaning, the garden pump is to be separated from the mains voltage, pull the
mains plug from the mains socket.
A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient to clean the outside of the garden pump . If it is very dirty, use a cloth slightly
moistened with lukewarm tap water.
Do not use any aggressive detergent as this might cause discoloration.
Before you use the pump again ensure the mains plug is dry. There is a danger of death due to electric
shock if the power plug is plugged in damp/wet!
