The filter must hang freely in the water, e.g. it may not lay on the bottom of the well as it will quickly fill
with impurities.
Regular checking and cleaning of the filter is absolutely necessary to ensure the inlet capacity of the
pump does not drastically decrease.
• If the suction hole is guided e.g. into a well or a rain water cistern, secure it in a way that prevents it from falling into
the well or into the cistern in case it slips off the fitting.
• The inlet opening (e.g. the coarse filter) should be situated at least 30cm below the water surface. Otherwise
whirlpools may form and cause air to be vacuumed into the pump.
• Position the inlet hose so that it hangs directly downwards from the garden pump. Otherwise the inlet vacuum may
be impeded or hindered.
• On the pressure side (upper attachment on the garden pump) use an appropriate pressure resistant hose, as well
as appropriate connections and fittings.
If connections with an automatic drip-stop are used (these allow you, for example, to change the spray valve without
switching off the pump), please ensure that these are mounted in the correct orientation.
