• If you use an extension cable or if it is necessary to lay cables to the clear water pump, make sure
that the cables do not have a cross section smaller than the rubber hose lines with short symbol
H05RN-F according to DIN VDE0620 Use extension cables with ground fault interrupter only, which
are suitable for use outdoors.
• Protect the cable from heat, oil/gasoline and sharp edges; do not step on the cable, do not drive over
it (for ex. with a garden wagon, bicycle, car). Never bend the cables and do not place objects on them.
• Make sure that electrical plug-in connections are located in areas protected against flooding,
otherwise, there is the lethal danger of an electric shock!
Operation
• The product is only suitable for a supply voltage of 230V~/50Hz of the public power supply system.
Never use the product with a different voltage.
• Always disconnect the mains power plug if you are not using the device any more, as well as before
repair or maintenance.
Do not pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always pull the plug from the mains
socket by the gripping area provided on the side only.
Never touch the plug when your hands are damp or wet. Danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Carry the product using the carrying handle; never carry it by the power cord.
• Do not close the output of the garden pump for longer than 1 minute when it is in operation in order
to avoid causing damage. The garden pump will heat the water inside it in this period of time. If the
pressure side is opened, the hot water is discharged, risk of scald burns/injury!
• The pump is not protected against dry running.
• The product is not suitable for continuous use.
• Do not leave the device unsupervised during operation.
• The conveying liquid (rain or well water) must be as clean as possible. Impurities (e.g. sand, earth,
leaves etc.) cause higher wear, thus reducing the life span of the pump; in addition to the possibility
of a mechanical blockage of the pump.
Regular checking of the garden pump function is thus absolutely necessary.
The max. grain size for impurities is 3mm.
• The product is not suitable for the conveyance of drinking water.
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during transport), condensation
water may form (eg on the mains plug). This causes danger to life by electric shock!
This is why you should always let the product get to room temperature before you use it or connect
it to the mains voltage. This may take several hours.
• Check the product before each use for damages, e.g. of the housing, the gaskets and the power cord/
plug.
If you observe any damages, you must not use the product. Repair of the damaged power cord is
not authorized! There is a danger of death due to electric shock!
