Pressing the control button for approximately 2 seconds up to the
pressure point causes the acoustic alarm to stop for approxi-
mately 10 minutes, as long as there is still smoke left in the
detector (LED continues to flash).
If there is no more smoke in the smoke chamber, the alarm can
be stopped by pressing on the control button.
• If smoke detectors are interconnected, an alarm can only be
stopped at the alarm-triggering detector.
Periodic checking and error display
Once a month the functioning of the smoke detector has to be
checked. To do so press the control button for approximately 2
seconds until the pressure point is reached:
• If the acoustic signal is audible once and the LED flashes 10 times,
the smoke detector functions correctly.
• If only the light-emitting diode starts to flash after pressing the
button, the smoke detector is defective and must be replaced.
• If no signals can be seen or heard, please check if batteries are
inserted in correct polarity.
In this case check batteries and replace them if necessary.
If the batteries are in good condition, then the smoke detector is
probably defective and must be replaced.
