Safety instructions and maintenance notes

• If you have doubts about the functioning, the safety or the instal-
lation of the device please contact a specialist or our service.
• Do not use the device in case of obvious damage, for example on
the housing, the controls or the connecting lines, or if a malfunc-
tion is obvious. In case of doubt let a specialist or our service check
the device .
• Do not open the device except for battery change, cabling and
retrofitting of a relay module; there are no serviceable parts inside
it. In the case of a fault, send the device to our technical service.
• The detector is designed for internal use. Avoid contact with
humidity, dust and direct sun rays.
• The product must not be stored or used in places accessible to
children. It is not a toy.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a
dangerous toy for children!
• The device has to be maintained every 6 months by wiping the
housing with a slightly dampened cloth.
• The smoke detector must not be painted or taped over with wall
paper.
• Effect a function test once a month by activating the test button.
