7. Commissioning
Setting up a master slave chain
The effect light can be operated controlled by a DMX controller or in a master slave chain. In that case, the integrated
controller of the master device controls the connected slave devices.
• Connect the DMX OUT (6) port of the master device to the DMX IN (5) port of the first slave device.
• Connect the DMX OUT (6) port of the first slave device to the DMX IN (5) port of the subsequent slave device.
• Proceed as described above with all remaining slave devices.
• Plug an XLR plug with a terminating resistor into the DMX OUT (6) port of the last slave device (as described in
section "Connection of a DMX controller").

7.3 Mains Connection

The mains socket to which the effect light is connected must be easily accessible to quickly
separate the device from the mains voltage in case of an error.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause
potentially fatal electric shock.
Never leave cables lying around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent accidents or
damage to the mains line.
Before plugging in the mains plug, ensure that the device voltage indicated at the effect light
corresponds to the available mains voltage. Do not connect the device if the indication does not
correspond to the available mains voltage. Incorrect supply voltage may lead to irreparable
damage to the device and danger to the user.
When connecting additional devices to the mains connection AC OUT (7), never overload this
connection. The total power consumption of the devices connected to this connection must not
exceed 8 A. never connect devices with a higher power consumption, such as amplifiers, fog
devices, etc., to the AC OUT (7) mains connection.
• Connect the low-power plug of the mains line to the mains connection AC IN (8) of the device.
• Plug the mains plug of the mains line into a grounded socket.
• Once the device is connected to the mains socket, it takes up operation.
