Accumulators are subject to natural self-discharge. It is recommended that
they be recharged at regular intervals (approx. each ½ year), as this
considerably increases their service life. Experience has shown that
accumulator packs with less than 0.8V open-circuit voltage per cell are only
useful to a limited extent or are defective. They should be taken to the
appropriate specialists for disposal.

Used accumulators should never be put away in a discharged state, they
should always be charged first.

Brand-new accumulators are initially highly resistive. Thus, the charger may
discontinue the initial charging processes prematurely, or even switch to error
status. In this case, restart the device with reduced charging current (several
times if necessary) until the accumulator temperature increases significantly.
Wait until the end of the last charging process started, and then terminate
accumulator charging. New accumulators reach their full accumulator capacity
only after approx. 10 charging and discharging cycles.

Despite extremely reduced charging periods, charging of the accumulators
with the ReFLEX 200 multi device is so careful that the service life of the
accumulators is increased enormously.
Note:
We abandoned the setting possibility for 13 cells in favour of the one for 16 cells,
because the number of switch positions is limited to 12. However, this should not
be a real disadvantage as accumulator packs with 13 cells are rare.
