10. Battery and power adapter operation
Warning
Do.not.use.batteries.with.different.voltage.than.that.specified.in.this.operating.instructions..
Using.batteries.with.other.specifications.will.cause.damage.to.the.camera.and.nullify.the.
warranty.
Warning
Always. turn. off. the. camera. when. removing. or. inserting. batteries.. Removing. batteries.
during operation can cause damage to the camera.
The.camera.is.designed.to.work.with.two.different.voltage.types..It.can.be.operated.using.batteries.
or.using.a.power.adapter..The.adapter.is.not.included.in.the.delivery.content.and.must.be.provided.
by the user.
a) Battery operation
• The.product.is.operated.with.4.pieces.1.5.V.type.C.batteries..We.recommend.using.high-quality.
alkaline batteries only.
• Turn.the.battery.compartment.cover.(1).from.CLOSE to OPEN and then lift it off.
• Insert.4.pieces.1.5.V.type.C.batteries.into.the.battery.compartment.(11)..Heed.correct.polarity.+/-.
as indicated next to the battery compartment.
• Align.the.marking.point.of.the.battery.compartment.cover.to.the.OPEN marking and turn it to the
CLOSE marking..The.battery.compartment.is.now.closed.
b) Mains operation using an external power adapter
The.product.is.outfitted.with.a.connection.socket.for.6V/DC,.allowing.operation.using.an.external.power.
adapter..When.operating.using.a.power.adapter,.battery.operation.is.deactivated.so.the.batteries.do.
not discharge. Do not remove the batteries from the device to prevent the settings from being deleted.
Follow.these.steps.to.connect.a.suitable.power.adapter:
• Make.sure.the.camera.is.switched.off..The.TEST OFF CAM PSET switch must be switched to
OFF position.
• Open.the.cover.of.the.DC 6V.socket.(13)..Connect.the.plug.(external.Ø.5.5.mm./.internal.Ø.2.1.mm).
of the mains adapter to the DC 6V.socket..When.connecting.a.mains.adapter.(not.included),.
observe the correct polarity according to the markings next to the mains adapter socket.
