Startup
Air pressure switch / gas pressure switch adjustment
Function control
Checking for correct functioning
The flame-monitor should be checked
for safe and reliable functioning before
initial startup, during regular servicing
and after any extended shutdown
period.
Startup attempt with closed gas
–
valve: Note that the control unit
MUST go into malfunction mode at
the end of the safety period.
Normal startup - if burner is in
–
operation, shut gas valve: after the
flame goes out, the control unit must
go into fault mode!
Adjusting the gas pressure switch
· To adjust the shutoff pressure:
Remove the cover of the gas
pressure switch.
· Activate burner and adjust gas
pressure upstream of valve assembly
by turning the ball valve until the
desired shutoff pressure is set.
· Turn the dial clockwise until the gas
pressure switch shuts down the burner.
Adjusting the air-pressure switch
· Set burner at 1
st
stage.
· Turn the dial clockwise until the air
pressure switch shuts down the burner.
· Set air pressure switch at 70% of
shutdown value
Normal startup ; interrupt
–
air-monitoring contact during
preliminary ventilation or operation:
Control unit should go into fault mode
IMMEDIATELY.
Bypass air-pressure switch before
–
startup: Burner activates for approx.
2-3 sec., before carrying out fault
shutdown. After 10 sec., this brief
malfunction is automatically reset by
the control unit, and a second startup
attempt ensues (motor activates for
2-3 sec.). If the LW contact is still
closed (e.g. due to fused contact)
resulting in genuine emergency
shutdown.
03/2005 - Art. Nr. 13 018 082A
However, if the LW contact has
opened within these 10 sec. (e.g. due
to decelerating motor), normal
operation ensues.
