10.1 Maintenance of the rechargeable battery

The integrated lead-acid battery is the same type used in automobiles. As with your car battery, how you use
this battery has a significant impact on its lifespan. With proper use and treatment, a lead-acid battery can
last for years. Here are some recommendations for getting the longest life from the internal battery.
General usage
• Fully charge the battery before using it.
• Avoid completely draining the battery.
• For maximum life, drain the battery 80% once a month.
• Charge the battery completely after each use.
• When fully charged, the battery may be left for up to a week.
• The rechargeable battery has a low self-discharge, i.e. it discharges slowly when the device is not in
operation. For this reason you should recharge the rechargeable battery every 2 months if you do not use
the device for longer periods of time.
Storage
• Avoid storing in high temperatures and moist places. The permissible temperature range is between -5° C
and +45° C.
• For long-term storage, periodically recharge the battery.
• If you do not charge the battery for six months, it may not charge.
Repair
• As the battery nears the end of its life, it may lose its ability to recharge. If this occurs, please contact your
dealer.
• Do not attempt to service, modify, or replace the battery yourself.
Disposal
• Bring the unit to a local recycling center.

10.2 Loudspeakers

If the speaker system distorts, one of the loudspeakers may be defective. In this case the speaker system
should not be operated any more in order to prevent further damage. Please contact your dealer.
If clacking sounds are heard from the speaker system, screws may have loosened due to the continuous
vibrations. The speaker system should be checked by a specialist.
