6. POWER SUPPLY

The unit can be operated with 115 V or 230 V mains voltage and for mobile use via the internal rechargeable
battery.

6.1 Mains operation

Connect the supplied power supply cable to the corresponding input and the mains plug to an outlet (230 V
AC, 50 Hz ~). The amplifier can also be operated with 115 V AC, 60 Hz ~. For this purpose, set the voltage
selector switch to the left [115 V] position.
As soon as the unit is connected to the mains, the automatic charging of the battery is switched on, even
when the unit is switched off (green charge indicator [CHARGE] lights up). Therefore, disconnect the mains
plug from the socket when the battery is charged (charge indicator [CHARGE] does not light up) and the unit
will not be used for a longer time. Otherwise there will be unnecessary power consumption.

6.2 Rechargeable batteries operation

Prior to operating the PA system off mains for the first time, the rechargeable battery must be fully charged.
Charging time is approximately 5 hours. The unit may be operated during the charging procedure.
For charging the battery, connect the unit to a power outlet via the supplied power cable. The charge
indicator [CHARGE] will light up and the charging procedure starts. The unit does not have to be switched on
for recharging. As soon as the charging procedure is completed, the charge indicator [CHARGE] goes out.
The battery charging status is indicated by the four indicators [BATTERY LEVEL]. If the green indicators
light during battery operation, power supply is sufficient. When the red indicator [LOW] comes on, the battery
must be charged.
Due to the protective charging circuit the battery cannot be overcharged. However, the mains plug should be
disconnected from the socket after charging when the unit will not be in operation for a longer time.
Otherwise there will always be low power consumption, even when the unit is switched off.
