Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing
pollutants are labelled with these symbols that
indicate the interdiction to dispose of these
products in the garbage. The denominations of
the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium,
Hg=mercury, Pb=lead. You can return your
used batteries free of charge to the local dis-
posal institutions, to all our subsidiaries and
wherever batteries are being sold.
If the Manual R.P.M. Counter DT-1 Opto does not function any
more and cannot be repaired, it has to be disposed of according to
the valid legal requirements.

connecting / using the instrument. They will explain the correct
operation and help you to make full use of the technical possi-
bilities of the system.
Prescribed Use
The Manual R.P.M. Counter DT-1 Opto serves for determining the
number of revolutions of rotating objects such as shafts, wheels,
pulleys etc. in an optical, i.e. contactless way. The product is only
approved for battery operation. The product should be used only
indoors, not outdoors. Any contact with humidity must absolutely
be avoided. The instrument is not suitable for industrial use.
Any use other than the one described above damages the product.
Moreover, this involves dangers, such as short-circuit, fire, electric
shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt and
the housing must not be opened. The safety instructions must
always be observed!
