• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product
is inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the way of operation or
about the safety of the system or the connection of the devices.
• Only four 1.5 V mignon batteries (type AA) may be used as power
supply.
• Avoid heavy mechanical strain of the module, high temperatures,
strong vibrations, high humidity.
This could damage the measuring instrument.
• Never turn on the Manual R.P.M. Counter immediately after it has
been brought from a cold into a warm room. Condensation water
that forms might destroy your instrument. Leave the device swit-

time for any condensation water to evaporate.
• Do not leave the packaging materials littered, plastic films/bags,
polystyrene parts etc. can become dangerous toys for children.
• Keep the Manual R.P.M. Counter DT-1 Opto out of reach of child-
ren. It is not a toy.
• Observe the safety regulations laid down by the professional tra-
de association for electrical equipment and installations in indu-
strial and commercial facilities.
• In schools, training centres, hobby and do-it-yourself workshops
the operation of the modules must be supervised by qualified
staff.

memory button, press it again and keep it pressed down.
The LCD now alternates between the minimum r.p.m. and the
letters "dn" (= down).
- When you press the memory button again, you can read the last
measured value, then the maximum value etc.
- These measured values remain in the memory until the next
measuring.

Maintenance and Care

The Manual R.P.M. Counter is maintenance-free except for the
need to replace the batteries from time to time. Please refer to the
respective part of the Operating Instructions for details on repla-
cing batteries.
Clean the exterior of the instrument only with a soft, dry cloth or
brush. Never use aggressive cleansing agents or solvents since
this might damage the housing surface. Furthermore, fumes produ-
ced are detrimental to health and explosive.
Warning!
Never point at people or animals when cleaning the
measuring instrument.
