5. Safety Notes

Read the operating instructions attentively and particularly observe the safety
notes. If the safety notes and the information in these operating instructions
regarding proper handling are not observed, we assume no liability for any re-
sulting injury/property damage. In such cases, the warranty/guarantee will also
lapse.
• The surveillance camera must only be connected to a stabilised direct current volt-
age of 12 V/DC. The inner contact of the low-voltage round plug must conduct
plus/+, the outer contact minus/-.
• The product is not a toy. Keep it away from children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a danger-
ous toy for children.
• The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use (IP66). However, it must never be
operated in or under water; it would be destroyed by this.
• The connection plugs at the surveillance camera's connection cable are not water-
proof or water-tight and therefore must be in a dry indoor area or protected accord-
ingly.
• Ensure that the connection cable is not crushed, bent or damaged by sharp edges.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures direct sunlight, strong vibrations,
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Handle the product with care. Impact, blows or falls from even a low height will
damage the product.
• Do not subject the product to mechanical stress.
• Also observe the safety notes and operating instructions of the other devices to
which the product is connected.
• The IR light is not visible for the human eye. Therefore, it is not evident whether an
IR-LED is lit or not. Due to the intensity of the installed IR-LEDs, there is a danger
of eye damage if you look at it from a short distance (<2 m).
Attention, IR LED light!
- Never look into the IR LED beam!
- Never watch directly or with optical instruments!
• The operation of these surveillance cameras is no substitute for your responsibility
to supervise children or other people in need of special care. It only serves as a
support.
