AF button (2)
Press this button to switch the AF function on or off.
The AF function activates automatic station tracking (see „RDS for reception").
AF will be displayed. If the reception of an RDS transmitter station gets weaker or the radio does not recei-
ve and RDS station at all, the display flashes. When a station can be received well, the symbol is displayed
continuously.
When you leave a transmission area, the radio can only switch to a better station when the AF function is
activated.
TA button (8)
Press this button to switch the TA function on or off.
When you receive a traffic programme station, the display shows "TP" (traffic programme).
When the TA function is activated, "TA" is also displayed.
If a different source is played (e.g. SD playback), the programme is set to mute during the traffic announ-
cement.
If you listen to a radio programme at a very low volume, the volume is automatically increased.
PTY scan
PTY scan is a station scan that only receives stations with a specified programme type (PTY).
• Press the PTY/CLK button (11). A programme type appears in the display.
• Press the PTY/CLK button (11) again to select music or voice playback.
• Press one of the station buttons 1-6 (13-18), to select the desired programme type. To access the second
or third programme type of the list below, press the respective station button again.
• The PTY scan starts automatically a few seconds after selecting the programme type. The display shows
SEEK PTY.
• The scan stops at the next station that transmits the desired programme type. If a station with the se-
lected programme type cannot be found, PTY NONE appears in the display.
