Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device does

Possible cause / solution / tips
• Is the device switched off? Press the
safety reasons, the device switches off automatically
after 60 minutes.
• Is the mains plug not inserted in the plug socket correct-
ly? Correct the fi t of the mains plug.
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of the mains connection.
• The mixing bowl (2) is not inserted correctly. Place the
mixing bowl into the mixing bowl mount (17) and press it
down.
• The mixing bowl is open or its lid (4) is not locked on prop-
erly. Correct the fi t of the lid.
The motor has overheated.
1. Switch off the device and pull out the mains plug.
2. Remove the mixing bowl (2) from the motor unit (1) and
open it.
3. Reduce the quantity and / or add a little liquid.
4. Wait for around 5 minutes (cool-down time).
5. Close the mixing bowl and reinsert it in the motor unit.
6. Switch on the device. If the device still cannot be switched
on after the cool-down time, contact the customer service
department.
• Is the device being used for the fi rst time? A smell often
develops when new devices are fi rst used. The smell
should disappear after repeated use.
• If the motor is placed under too much strain, as well as
the device being switched off by the electronic protec-
tive switch, a smell may be produced due to the heated
motor. However, this is completely harmless. After the
cool-down time, the device is in full working order again.
