• The higher the speed level, the fi ner the chopping and mixing results. Turn the
dial (21) slowly from position 0 to the speed level you want.
• To use maximum speed for a brief period of time, turn the dial to the TURBO position.
Larger food (quantities) are chopped up evenly if you switch between the TURBO and
0 positions several times in succession.

Stirring, Blending, Cooking and Heating
When the contents of the mixing bowl have a temperature of 60°C or more, the
speed levels are limited to 1 and 2.
To prepare soups, broths, sauces, rice pudding, stews etc., switch on the heating func-
tion and a low speed level. This ensures that the ingredients are stirred (around) when
they are heated so that they do not set or burn.

Steam-Cooking

PLEASE NOTE!
■ The measuring cup must not be inserted in the lid during steam-cooking.
CAUTION – Danger of scalding from hot steam and condensation!
■ Note that hot steam will escape from the side and top of the lid of the steaming at-
tachment during operation.
■ Only hold the steaming attachment using its two handles.
■ When you remove the lid of the steaming attachment, always hold it so that you do
not come into contact with the rising steam or the dripping hot liquid.
■ After you remove the hot steaming attachment from the mixing bowl, place it down on
a moisture-resistant and heat-resistant surface.
Follow the instructions in the "Using Accessories Correctly" chapter – "Steaming
Attachment".
1. Place the motor unit on a dry, clean, fl at and non-heated work surface.
2. Insert the mains plug into an easily accessible socket.
3. Pour at least 0.5 litres of water into the mixing bowl (2) for a cooking time of 30 min-
utes. For a longer cooking time, the amount of water required increases by 250 ml for
every 15 minutes. Do not exceed the 1500 ml marking!
To add fl avour to the food, stock or a water/wine mixture for example may also be
used instead of water.
