Cleaning and Storage

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Before doing any cleaning, read the "Safety Instructions"!
■ CAUTION – Danger of Injury! Use a rinsing brush to clean the cross blade!
■ The motor unit, mixing bowl, its lid and the measuring cup are not dishwasher-safe!
■ Risk of damage to the device! Do not immerse the mixing bowl in water or
other liquids! The contacts could be damaged. No liquid must get into the base of
the mixing bowl as this is where heating elements and other electronic components
are fi tted.
■ Clean the mixing bowl and the accessories immediately after each use to prevent
germ formation. Do not allow food residues to dry on.
■ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to clean
the device. These can damage the surface.
1. Rinse out the mixing bowl (2) briefl y under running water. Do not immerse the
base (10) in water!
2. Rinse all components apart from the motor unit (1) using mild detergent and warm
water. If necessary, take the sealing ring off the lid (4) of the mixing bowl. Clean
the cross blade with a rinsing brush. The steaming attachment (7), its intermediate
base (6) and lid (5) can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.
3. Wipe down the motor unit with a damp cloth if necessary and then dry it with a soft
cloth.
4. Allow all parts to dry completely before the device is reassembled. Reinsert the seal-
ing ring to the lid.
5. Store the device in a dry, clean place that is not accessible to children and animals.
If the mixing bowl is only slightly dirty, it is suffi cient to clean it by briefl y mixing it with
water and washing-up liquid:
1. Pour warm, clean water and a few drops of washing-up liquid into the mixing bowl.
2. Close the mixing bowl with the lid (4).
3. Use the button (24) to start the pulse function and allow it to run for a short while.
4. Take the mixing bowl off the motor unit and rinse it thoroughly with clear water.
The plastic parts may suffer discolouration over time. However, this does not have
any negative effect on either health or the way that the device parts work.
