Before commissioning, it is essential that you read the general information
at the beginning of this manual.

Inserting the batteries

Insert 3 AA batteries (not included) before connecting any cable. The batte-
ries are essential for the display and further features - without batteries only
simple telephoning is possible.
Open the battery compartment on the
bottom of the phone and insert the
batteries. Observe the correct polarity!
Close the battery compartment.
When the voltage is lower than 3.9 V, the LCD displays a battery icon to
remind you to replace the batteries. Unplug the telephone from the tele-
phone line when replacing the batteries!

Connecting the telephone receiver

Take the short end of the spiral cable and plug it into the socket at the bottom
of the receiver. Plug the long end of the spiral cable into the socket on the bot-
tom of the phone. Feed the cable through the respective cable channel.

Connecting the telephone

Connect the telephone cable supplied to the telephone socket and the tele-
phone jack on the rear side of the telephone.
