Caller filter / Remote monitor

Caller filter: If the caller filter is activated, a caller needs a code to dial
through. When caller calls this telephone, he/she will hear the usual
ringing tone (when the line gets through) three or four times from the
telephone line. However, your telephone unit will not ring.
Then the caller will hear a short beep, which means that the caller needs
to key in the secret code. Once the caller keys in the correct code, your
telephone will ring. Press the Handsfree button or pick up the receiver
to have the conversation with the caller.
Remote monitor: If the last digit of the secret code is # (hash key),
after the caller keys in the correct secret code, the telephone unit will go
into hands free mode automatically. The caller can hear the sound
around the telephone unit.

This function is useful only when the telephone ringer is set to OFF (see
page 37). The caller must know the secret code in order to dial
through the line.
Setting the code

As soon as a code is programmed, the caller filter will be
activated.
1 The telephone is in idle state.
2 Press and hold down the Hold key for approx. 3 seconds.
The display shows Pin
3 If necessary delete digits with the Delete key and enter a 4-digit code
using the digit keys. If the last digit of secret code is #, the telephone will
activate remote monitor function.
