2. Move the regulator for steam (3) to position
3. Place the iron on the ironing board or on a stable, fl at, heat-resistant and moisture-
resistant surface.
4. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
The device starts to heat up. As this happens, the temperature control lamp (9) lights
up. When it goes out, the bottom of the iron (10) has reached the set temperature.
The iron is ready for use.
Ironing
ATTENTION!
■ Please make sure that synthetic fi bres, nylon and silk are not ironed with steam. The
textiles may be damaged!
■ There must be a suffi cient amount of water in the water reservoir for the steam-ironing.
■ Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants. This can cause severe
scalding.
1. For steam-ironing or spraying, fi ll the water reservoir (2) with water (see the "Filling
the Water Reservoir" section). This is not necessary for dry-ironing.
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible. The
device starts to heat up. As this happens, the temperature control lamp (9) lights up.
3. Move the temperature control (5) to the high (•••) to maximum temperature.
Steam-ironing is possible in this range. (Note the care label for the garment which is
to be ironed!)
4. Once the device has reached the set temperature, the temperature control lamp (9)
goes out.
5. For steam-ironing, move the regulator for steam (3) to position
iron, leave the regulator for steam (3) in position
use.
6. Move the bottom of the iron (10) back and forth on the fabric until it is smooth.
7. When the water reservoir (2) is empty, steam will no longer be produced. Follow the
instructions in the "Filling the Water Reservoir" section to top it up again.

Spray Function

The spray function is suitable, for example, for moistening delicate textiles which cannot
be steam-ironed. This function is independent of the steam function and is possible at
any temperature. NOTE: The water reservoir must have been fi lled (see the "Filling the
Water Reservoir" section).
