Driven by the idea of creating better wings, we founded NOVA in 1989. The company
quickly grew into a significant manufacturer. We rapidly consolidated and expanded

Our headquarters are in Terfens, near Innsbruck. Thanks to our location,

we can be testing gliders at the Achensee in 20 minutes. Alternatively, the Zillertal,
the Stubaital or the southern Alps are close by.

As a paragliding manufacturer, being close to the mountains is essential: on the one
hand we need a good testing area for high-quality development work. Secondly, we
need to have our finger on the pulse and need to be closely connected to our custo-
mers. In Tyrol and the surrounding areas, paragliding is more than a sport. This po-

sitive attitude translates into our products, which assists us to keep making better
paragliders.
NOVA consists of a highly qualified team, where almost all employees share the pas-
sion of flying. This passion and our know-how are the drivers of our innovation. For
example, it lead us to being pioneers in the area of flow simulation, where we can
reasonably accurately predict many of the characteristics of a new wing design on a
computer.
NOVA is financially sound and owns two production sites - the first opening in 1990
in Hungary and the second in 2015 in Vietnam. We determine which glider models
are manufactured at which facility and this permits us to stay flexible and respond to
market demand. Additionally, by having our own production facilities, we can ensure
the highest quality control procedures as well as conforming to the highest social and
environmental standards.
