Caution:
- The nozzle in this position may only be allowed to be rotated by half a turn (180°). If a further turn is possible, the
nozzle is seated incorrectly, and the seat in the nozzle holder must be corrected. Otherwise, the nozzle could be pressed
out of the holder under high pressure.
- Now screw the nozzle holder with the nozzle onto the seat of the gun.
- Hand-tighten the union nut (do not use any tool). The nozzle seal is now adequate. Simultaneously the nozzle holder
can still be turned to the desired spray setting.
- Worn nozzle seals must no longer be used and must be replaced without fail.
- In addition, ensure that the nozzle seat on the gun is clean and undamaged.
- Clean the nozzle seat regularly and prevent the thread or nozzle seat from becoming damaged by knocks/attaching
operations.
3. Replacing the nozzle
The reversible spray nozzles can be changed easily.
- Turn off the device.
- Using the gun, depressurize back into the material container.
- Slightly loosen the union nut of the nozzle holder on the gun.
- Pull the nozzle at the vane by gently turning it out of the nozzle holder.
- Insert a new nozzle into the holder. Ensure correct seating of the nozzle in the holder, and correct if necessary.
- Hand-tighten the union nut of the nozzle holder again (do not use any tool) and adjust the nozzle to the desired setting.
Worn or damaged nozzles will alter the spray pattern, impair the spray result and waste material.
4. Nozzle designation
Each nozzle has a three-digit nozzle designation attached. The first digit indicates the spraying width, and the two suc-
cessive digits indicate the bore diameter. These details are given in inches.. To convert to cm, proceed as indicated in the
calculation example.
Example:
Nozzle designation 417: multiply the initial digit by factor 5 to produce the spraying width in cm.
4 x 5 = 20 cm. Both the last digits indicate the diameter of the bore hole in thousandths of an inch:
17 = 0.017" = 0.043 cm (1" = 2.53 cm)
Important:
If you wish to use your own existing airless hoses and guns, ensure without fail that these are approved for a maximum
operating pressure of 228 bar. In order to conduct away buildups of static charges, the hose and gun must be connected
electrically with the airless device. The nozzle holder of the gun must be equipped with a dust protection cap.
- Check oil level in hydraulic oil tank before initial use. The oil level at the base of the filter in the filler neck must be
detectable. Attention: do not overfill tank. Use only hydraulic oil of specification AW 46..
- Preset the pressure regulator by turning regulator dial to the left to the lowest possible value.
- Turn mains switch to OFF. Turn lever valve (yellow handle) to Pos. 1 open.
- Remove cover in front of piston connection and oil cup, and inject once daily with piston oil (see diagram). Refit cover.
