Sequence of assembly
In general terms the sequence of assembly follows the numbe-
ring of the kit components; the number before the point indica-
tes the Stage of construction, the number after the point the
individual part.
Bound into the centre of these instructions you will find a set of
photographs which provide extra information and visual clarifi-
cation of many details, as well as the general sequence of
assembly.
We recommend that you study the instructions carefully, refer-
ring to the parts list and the illustrations, to obtain a clear under-
standing of each stage of construction.
Adhesives
Epoxy and robbe Speed cyano-acrylate ("cyano") are used for
all joints on this model. Cyano should be used for all joints
involving the carbon fibre (CFRP) parts.
Sand all joint areas thoroughly before applying adhesive. Allow
glued joints to harden fully before resuming construction.
Painting and decals
It is not necessary to paint the model.
The decals are best applied as follows: add a few squirts of
liquid detergent to a bowl of luke-warm water. Peel off each
decal as it is required, dip it in the water, then place it on the
model in the position shown in the illustrations. Slide it accura-
tely into position (the water allows this), then rub it gently with
a soft cloth to wipe away excess water. Allow the moisture to
dissipate for a while, then rub down the decal once more using
a dry cloth.
Directions such as "right-hand" are as seen from the stern of
the model looking forward.

Radio control equipment
Before you start work on the model, please take the time to
familiarise yourself with the radio control system by studying
the instructions supplied with it.
The recommended RC system transmitter features two self-
neutralising sticks. If the self-centring action is retained for the
sail setting function (left-hand stick), the sails will be approxi-
mately half-extended at neutral. It will then be necessary to hold
the stick in a particular position to keep the boat on the course
you have set.

If you convert the stick to ratchet action (non self-neutralising),
the stick will "stay put", i.e. it is no longer necessary to hold the
stick in position. The method of converting the stick is descri-
bed in the RC system instructions.
If you wish to use components other than the recommended
items, you can still follow the basic arrangement shown, but
you may have to make allowance for minor differences in com-
ponent size.
Before you start building the model it is a good idea to connect
the RC system and switch it on, as this sets all the servos to
neutral. Check that both the transmitter sticks and trims are at
centre when you do this.
