When performing resistance measurements, make
sure that the measuring points you contact for
measuring with the test prods are free of impuri-
ties, oil, solder resist or something alike. Such resi-
dues may invalidate the measurement result.
As soon as the pointer has reached its utmost left-
hand position (8 in horizontal position = infinite),
you are out of the effective range or the measuring
distance is interrupted.
E Decibel (dB) measurement
When performing decibel measurements, the source
impedance of the measuring circuit has to be 600
Ohm, otherwise correct measuring is not possible. Set
the turn switch to "ACV" and connect the test prods to
the measuring object. The dB-display can be read di-
rectly within the effective range of 10V (red scaling
over "BAT"). Within the effective range of 50V you have
to add 14 dB to the indicated value, within the effective
range of 500V add 34 dB.
For measuring signals with d.c.voltage share we re-
commend to attach a 100 nF (min.) capacitor between
"+" and "-" (pay attention to the dielectric strength).

Wird das Meßgerät nicht gebraucht, so arretieren Sie
die Prüfspitzen in den Aufnahmen an der Unterseite des
Gummiholsters.
Überschreiten Sie niemals die max. Ein-
gangsgrößen, da sonst durch Beschädi-
gung des Meßgerätes für Sie Lebensge-
fahr besteht.
C Inbetriebnahme
Einstellelement Meßfunktionsschalter oder Drehschal-
ter
Über den Drehschalter wird das Meßgerät sowohl ein-
geschaltet, als auch ausgeschaltet (OFF).
Der Meßfunktionsschalter darf während
der Messung auf keinen Fall verstellt
werden, da dadurch das Meßgerät zer-
stört werden kann (Abrißfunken) bzw.
für Sie als Folge davon bei Spannungen
größer als 25 VACrms bzw. 35 VDC Le-
bensgefahr bestehen kann.
