• This measuring device is designed and tested accor-
ding to the established standards DIN 57 411 volume
1/VDE 0411 volume 1, (Protective Measures for Elec-
tronic Measuring Devices) and IEC 1010-1 and has
been delivered in perfect condition concerning safety
requirements. To preserve this condition and to en-
sure safe operation, the user has to heed the safety
instructions and warnings contained in this operating
manual ("Warning!" and "Note!"). The following
symbols are of major importance and must be hee-
ded:
= Warning! Dangerous contact voltage! Danger
to life!
= Read the instructions for use
CAT II = Overvoltage category II
= Safety class II (=double insulation)
• Current measurements are only admissible in d.c.
circuits which are protected against short-circuit
with 0.25 A or in which no voltages over 250 VDC
may occur. The measuring device must not be used
in installations of overvoltage category III according
to IEC 664. The measuring device and the measuring
leads are not protected against electric arc explosi-
ons (IEC 1010-2-031, section 13.101).

Dear customer,
with the analog multimeter MT-7005 you have chosen
a state-of-the-art measuring device which is manufac-
tured to the highest technical specifications.
This product is in compliance with the German
standard DIN VDE 0411, volume 1 for measuring
devices = EN 61010-1. It is EMC-tested (for dome-
stic use) and corresponds to the standards of the
established European and national guidelines. CE-
conformity has been proven; the relevant docu-
ments are in the possession of the manufacturer.
To preserve this condition and to ensure safe operati-
on, the user has to heed this operating manual!
