Localizing leaks

If you smell a gas leak or hear a "hissing" sound, take the appliance outdoors

and away from sources of ignition.
Turn the rotary knob to the "0" position and release the lever (see Fig. 2c).

Check the tightness of your appliance with a soapy solution.

Never try to locate a leak using a flame.

Storage

Do not pack the appliance before it has cooled down completely.

If you do not use the gas heater for an extended period of time, please store the
appliance as follows:
1. Remove the gas cartridge and seal it with a cap. If the gas cartridge is empty,
observe the instructions for disposal in Chapter 8.
2. Protect the gas radiant heater from dust, paint mist, humidity, dirt and insects
and cover the appliance with a plastic sheet to protect it from impurities and
resulting damages or malfunctions.

Repacking for private transport purposes

To prevent damage during transport, always pack the gas radiant heater in its
original packaging whenever you need to transport it. Make sure the appliance
is adequately padded and protected against knocks. Avoid using expanded
polystyrene or paper scraps.
