6.4.2.1 Serial data transmission
Singleturn absolute encoder divide one revolution of the shaft into a defined number of meas-
uring steps. This are 4096 positions at a SSI protocol, corresponding to a resolution of 12 Bit.
Multiturn absolute encoder do not only detect angle positions within one revolution but also
the number of revolutions. With a resolution of the multiturn part of 12 Bit this corresponds to
4096 revolutions. The position measuring area of 0...2
flow and/or underflow is not evaluated as error. A system offset can be defined by writing on
Ec.34 or approaching to reference point.
