Troubleshooting

Even though the model and the remote control system were built with the latest available technology, there can still
be malfunctions or errors. For this reason, we would like to give you some information on how to deal with possible
problems.
The model doesn't respond or does not respond properly
• Is the rechargeable battery in the vehicle or are the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter discharged?
Switch on the vehicle and transmitter. Charge the rechargeable battery in the vehicle or transmitter or replace the
batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter by new ones.
Always use three batteries or rechargeable batteries of the same build for the transmitter. Never mix batteries and
rechargeable batteries.
• If you are using three AA/Mignon rechargeable batteries for the transmitter, try using three batteries instead. The
lower voltage of the rechargeable batteries (rated voltage NiMH rechargeable battery = 1.2 V, battery = 1.5 V) may
cause functional problems.
• Did you switch on the transmitter first and then the vehicle? The vehicle may not work properly if the order is re-
versed.
• If the vehicle stops when driving, the undervoltage recognition may have been activated since the voltage of the
inserted rechargeable battery is too low. Charge the battery in the vehicle.
• Is the vehicle too far away? With the fully charged rechargeable battery in the vehicle and fully charged batteries/
rechargeable batteries in the transmitter, the range should be approx. 50 m and more. The range can be decreased
by outside influences, such as interference on the transmitter frequency, or proximity to other transmitters (not only
remote controller transmitters but also WLAN/Bluetooth devices that also use a transmission frequency of 2.4 GHz),
metal parts, buildings, etc.
The vehicle slows down or the two steering servos show only slight or no reaction; the range between trans-
mitter and vehicle is very short
• The rechargeable battery in the vehicle is weak or empty.
The receiver power supply and thus also the power supply of the two steering servos is achieved via the recharge-
able battery in the vehicle. Therefore, a weak or discharged rechargeable battery will cause the receiver and steer-
ing servo to no longer work properly.
Switch off the vehicle and recharge the vehicle's rechargeable battery.
• Check the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter; replace them by new ones.
The vehicle doesn't drive in a straight line correctly
• Correct the trip for the steering function at the transmitter with the two trim controllers "ST.TRIM<RR>" (figure 3, item
4) and "ST.TRIM<FR>" (figure 3, item 5).
• Did your car have an accident? If so, check the vehicle for any defective or broken parts and replace them.
