Commissioning

a) Inserting Batteries in the Transmitter
Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the transmitter, push the battery compartment lid out (observe the
arrow on the battery compartment lid). Insert three new batteries type AA/Mignon. Observe correct polarity (plus/+ and
minus/-), see label on the battery compartment of the transmitter. Close the battery compartment again.
Due to the lower voltage of rechargeable batteries (example: AA/Mignon battery = rated voltage 1.5 V,
AA/Mignon rechargeable battery = rated voltage 1.2 V), the operating time will be shorter, since the transmit-
ter will report a too-low voltage rather soon.
Therefore we recommend only operating the transmitter with high-quality alkaline batteries instead of re-
chargeable batteries.

b) Removing the Car Body

The car body is attached to the car with four clips. Pull the clips out and carefully take the car body off upwards.

c) Taking the Transmitter into Operation

• Put the three trim controllers "ST.TRIM<RR>" (figure 3, item 4), "ST.TRIM<FR>" (figure 3, item 5) and "TH.TRIM"
(figure 3, item 10) in the centre position.
• Check if the two sliders "ST.REV" (figure 3, item 6) and "TH.REV" (figure 3, item 11) are in the position "N".
• Leave the throttle lever (figure 3, item 2) at the transmitter in its neutral position (do not touch/move the lever). Now
switch on the transmitter. The two LEDs will then start flashing alternatingly. Then take the vehicle into operation;
see next section.

d) Taking the Vehicle into Operation

• First switch on the transmitter, see chapter 10. c).
• Place the vehicle on an appropriate surface so that the
wheels can turn freely. Never reach into the drive, and
do not stop the wheels with your hand.
• Switch on the vehicle. Move the slider (see circle in the
figure on the right) into the position "ON".
• The red LED on the receiver/controller unit of the vehicle
lights up. Then the two LEDs in the transmitter must stop
flashing.
