Eliminating the cause of an alarm

Sabotage at the control, terminal or power supply module
Check whether the lids of all the devices are closed / the top is correctly locked
into the internal housing and is screwed to it.

Door sabotage
Check the door and correct assembly of the door / monitoring contact. If the
door has not been sabotaged, it may be that the latch bolt throw of the mating
part of the emergency exit release needs to be enlarged.

Emergency open
To reset the emergency switch, the cowling has to be removed. This is released
from the bearings by turning the key-operated switch as far as the second stop
counterclockwise.
It is now possible to reset the panic button of the emergency switch by turning
slightly to the left or right and then restoring the required switching status using
the key-operated switch.
Before reinserting the cowling, if the destructive setting of the emergency switch
cap had been set, the cap must be restored. (See page 5.)

No locked monitoring signal
This signal can come about, for example, if the door is not fully closed, so that
when a surface magnet is used the counter holding plate does not lie flush
against the pole surface or if the emergency exit cannot lock, possibly because
a strong door seal is pressing its latch open slightly.

External emergency unlocking (fire alarm system)
After acknowledging the alarm, initially the external contact must be reset (clo-
sed again). The required switching status can then be restored using the
key-operated switch.
Please note that all alarm signals can also be triggered by an interruption
of current - due for example to a cable breakage. If a check and remedy of
the above listed does not result in remedy of the alarm status, please have
the installation checked by an expert!!
