Monitoring and alarm functions

Every alarm of the emergency exit security system must be acknowledged via
the key-operated switch in the control module. Remedy of the triggering alarm
criterion then resets the alarm. (See sections 1.7 and 1.8!)
If, after an alarm has been triggered, the key-operated switch is actuated wit-
hout previously remedying the cause of the fault, the fault has merely been
acknowledged. External signalling and the acoustic signal in the control module
are switched off, the yellow LED goes out, the green LED switches over to the
flashing signal. It is not possible to relock the door.
3.4.1

Actuating the emergency switch

Pressing in the emergency switch causes the door to be released immediately
and always triggers an alarm. The acoustic alarm signal is switched off by
actuating the key-operated switch in the counterclockwise direction (acknowled-
ging the alarm).
In order to relock the door again after emergency opening, initially the depres-
sed emergency button must be reset (see section 1.7). Turning the key in the
clockwise direction then locks the door again.
3.4.2

Door open monitoring

When a door is opened which has been switched to temporary release, a
watchdog function is activated for the time period still remaining for the set
temporary release. If the door is not closed within this "door monitoring period",
initially a warning is issued in the form of a pulsing acoustic pre-alarm. The
impulse frequency of this signal increases continuously until the end of the
pre-alarm time. After expiry of the pre-alarm time, an alarm is triggered.
If the door is closed within the pre-alarm time, it locks. No alarm is triggered.
If the door is closed only after the alarm is triggered, the external alarm signal
and the acoustic alarm signal are switched off in the control module. The door is
locked and the optical display in the control module continues to indicate an
active alarm. It is then necessary to acknowledge the alarm and manually reset
the key-operated switch.
Identical sequences result when the door remains open after a continuous
unlocking status is terminated.
