DANGER
Danger of poisoning!
Only use the product outdoors and never in closed or
poorly ventilated rooms.
ATTENTION
–
Always pull the pull starter out straight.
–
Hold the handle of the pull starter firmly when the
pull starter winds back in.
–
Do not let the pull starter whip back in. This can re-

In case of cool weather, it may be necessary to re-
peat the starting process numerous times.
Notes:
• Set the product down on a solid surface before start-
ing the engine.
• Only use the fuel pump "primer" when the engine is
cold!
• If the engine is being started for the first time, several
tries are required to start until the fuel has been deliv-
ered from the tank to the engine.
10.1.1
Starting with a cold engine (Fig. 7, 8)
When the engine is "cold":
1. Set the choke lever (6) to the " " position.
2. Press the on/off switch (1) to the on position.
3. Press the primer (22) 7 times.
4. Pull the pull starter (7) 3 to 5 times to start the engine.
5. Once the engine is running, wait a short time and then
set the choke lever (6) to the " " position.
6. Use the throttle (11) to control the speed of the engine
and thus the air flow.
With high outside temperatures, it may be necessary to
start the engine without the choke even when the engine
is cold!

closed.
1. Press the on/off switch (1) to the on position.
2. Pull the pull starter (7) to start the engine.
3. Use the throttle (11) to control the speed of the engine
and thus the air flow.
Note:
• If the engine does not start even after several at-
tempts, read the 17 chapter.
10.2
Adjusting the idle speed (Fig. 7)
Idling speed adjustment is necessary when the engine
tends to die off or when no significant speed differences
are detected when using the choke lever (6). The adjust-
ment is made after starting the engine at the adjusting
screw (23).
Let the engine idle for a few minutes before making the
adjustment.
1. Turn the adjusting screw (23) clockwise to increase
the idle speed.
2. Turn the adjusting screw (23) anticlockwise to reduce
the idle speed.
When adjusted, the engine should run smoothly at idle
speed without any irregularities or pauses.
10.3
Switch off the engine (Fig. 7, 8)
1. Separately, operate the locking lever (11a) to set the
engine in neutral.
2. Set the ON/OFF switch (1) to "0".
10.3.1
1. If it is necessary to stop the product immediately,
switch the on/off switch (1) to "0".
