Fitting the auxiliary handle
WARNING! Loss of control can result in
injuries! Only operate the machine with the
auxiliary handle attached.
Procedure
1. Turn the auxiliary handle (7) tightly in-
to one of the holders (2) for the auxiliary
handle.
The auxiliary handle can be attached to
the tool in the following positions:
top, left, right.
Fitting/removing the guard cover
WARNING! Never use the tool without
the guard cover fully fitted.
Tools required
• Hex key
Fitting the guard cover (Fig. A)
1. Place the guard cover (8) on the tool. The
closed side faces the tool.
2. Place the fastening disc (21) on the guard
cover (8). The longest of the three metal
plates points towards the handle (4).
3. Fasten the guard cover (8) with the three
hexagon socket screws (20).
4. Turn the guard cover to the working pos-
ition.
Adjusting the guard cover (Fig. A)
1. Adjust the guard cover (8) so that any
sparks or detached parts cannot hit
either the user or any bystanders.
2. Position the guard cover (8) so that the
sparks do not ignite any combustible
parts, including those in the surround-
ings.
3. The closed side of the guard cover must
always face the user.
Removing the guard cover (Fig. A)
1. Loosen the hexagon socket screws (20).
2. Pull the fastening disc (21) and guard
cover (8) off the tool.

• Maximum speed: ≥ 2500 – 11500 min

Grinding disc
• Thickness: ≤ 6 mm
Cutting disc
• Thickness: ≤ 1.2 mm
• Cutting disk types: diamond studded,
bonded reinforced, segmented
Disc brush
• Thickness: ≤ 16.5 mm
Cup brush
• Thickness: ≤ 5 mm
Attaching and removing the disc
CAUTION! Risk of injury when
touching the attachment tool. Wear
protective gloves when handling the
attachment tool.
Notes

DANGER! Risk of injury! Only use
attachment tools recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Only use undamaged attachment tools.
• A clamping nut (22) is used to attach the
disc to the uptake spindle (24). Loosening
or tightening the clamping nut:
• With the chuck key (11); kept in the
auxiliary handle (7).
• If you have fitted a cutting disc: Fit the at-
tachment onto the guard cover (seeFitting
and removing the attachment on the
guard cover, p. 14).
Procedure (Fig. B/C)
1. Check the attachment tool. Do not use
the attachment tool if it is damaged.
2. Press and hold the spindle lock
3. Turn the uptake spindle (24) until the stop
button holds the uptake spindle in a fixed
position. Keep pressing the spindle lock
(1).
4. Loosen the clamping nut (22).
