Set flash frequency
Long press [AUDIO] button till number of flashes blinks.
Shortly press [AUDIO] button, flash frequency parameter
blinks.
Press [ + ] button or [ - ] button to set flash frequency.
CAUTION
To prevent flash damage caused by overheating, do not use stroboscopic flashes more than
10 times in a row. After using a stroboscopic flash 10 times in a row, please turn off the flash
for at least 15 minutes. If overheating protection is active, the flash will stop firing. Please allow
the flash to cool down for 30 minutes.
NOTICE
Using a stroboscopic flash in a dark environment is more effective.
The maximum output power of a stroboscopic flash is 1/4.
Stroboscopic mode can be used with bulb function.
To ensure the best possible shooting effect, you may use the formula below to calculate
the shutter speed and set it with the camera.
Shutter Speed = Number of Flashes / Flash Frequency

7.4 Flash mode-M manual flash
When use flash in manual mode, flash output power is adjustable from 1/1 to 1/128 (8 f-stop)
with 1/3 f-stop increment.
Setting flash mode <M>
Briefly press the [MODE] button; flash mode is set as <M>.

7.5 Constant color mode ON / OFF

When constant color temperature mode is active <ON>, the color temperature of the flash
remains 5600±200K, evan flash output power varies or high-speed sync mode.
When constant color temperature mode is inactive <OFF>, flash duration is the first concern and
color temperature varies. Flash duration can reach 1/10000 s, which can be used for freezing
fast moving object.
Setting color temperature
a) Long press [Mode] button till <F1> shows on LCD screen.
b) Press [ + ] button, constant color temperature is active <ON>. Press [ - ] button, constant
color temperature is inactive <OFF>.

7.6 Auto-dump

AUTO-DUMP automatically discharges the capacitors when the power is reduced. Excess
energy is automatically dumped when the flash power setting is reduced. Both increasing and
decreasing the power setting generates heat inside the unit. Therefore, avoid repetitive power
setting changes.
8. How to use Mover 400 TTL flash with other flash lights
Matching the walimex pro Mover 400 TTL studio flash with other series of walimex pro studio
flashes (VC Excellence Plus, VC Excellence, VE Excellence, Newcomer): Use the Operator TTL,
implement flash trigger and adjust power together (modelling lamps of other studio flash series
from walimex cannot be controlled by the Operator TTL).

Troubleshooting

Error codes
E1: Temperature transducer problem. Turn the unit OFF immediately and contact the place
where you purchased the flash.
E2: This error code can display after a long shooting session at high output or rapid successi-
on. The flash will make an alarm, reminding the user to let it cool before operating it again.
Turn OFF the flash and allow it to cool down for 30 minutes.
E3: This error code will display when the internal voltage of the flash is too high. Turn OFF the
power immediately. After a few minutes, turn on the flash again. If you still have the malfun-
ction warning, turn OFF the unit and contact the place where you purchased the flash.
E4: Internal charging problem. Turn OFF the flash light immediately and contact the place whe-
re you purchased the flash.
Low voltage protection: Before the battery runs out, the battery signal on the LCD screen
will blink. Please charge the battery as soon as possible. If the battery is not charged in time,
power to the flash will be cut off automatically when battery voltage is lower than 8.6 V.
